| SUPERBIKE CONCORSO ONLINE ROUND WINNERS ANNOUNCED
The online round of the Ducati Superbike Concorso, in which Superbike owners from around the country competed for a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Italy and ultimate bragging rights, reached its conclusion at the beginning of this week.
33 bikes competed in the online showdown and ranged from a 1973 750 GT to multiple entries of today's Superbike class defining 1098. The field was highly competitive and ran the gamut—even including two examples of the legendary Supermono.
Demonstrating the ever-growing popularity and level of competition in the second year of the Superbike Concorso, this year's online round saw more entries, better photography and an onslaught of votes for the People's Choice—with roughly 1000 votes in the first week alone.

A CLASSIC Celebrating the essential beauty of the Ducati GT models of the 1970s, the GT 1000 is a bike to be ridden every day, with a balance of two-up comfort and Ducati Desmo Twin performance. As you would expect from a motorcycle inspired by one of the original icons of Ducati, every element and component is built with the highest quality materials and engineered with performance as a priority. Although classically inspired, the GT is a modern Ducati motorcycle, so it is powerful, handles confidently and is exciting to ride.GT COMFORT Aboard the GT 1000, the feeling is one of comfort and control. The position is reassuringly upright, reaching to a pair of raised tubular handlebars. A well-padded dual seat, which is now a little lower than last year, features 'Ducati' printed in white proudly on the back. Rider footpegs are placed conservatively forward allowing comfort and good ground clearance at the same time. The GT 1000 is a true two-seater, so the passenger's footpegs are also sensibly placed for all-day comfort. GT STYLE The shapes of the GT 1000 are modern interpretations of the classic lines of the original GTs of the 1970s. The rather slim fuel tank features knee cut-outs on the sides and deep sculpting on the top with a chrome fuel cap. Full fenders front and rear are complimented by trim side covers that remind us of the 70's originals. Many of the details like the top crowns, fork caps and handlebar mounts are finished in polished aluminum, and are reflected in the chrome surfaces of the wheels, instrument trim, handlebars and horn covers. Finally, the classic look is completed with chrome exhaust pipes and mufflers, one per side. This year, the GT 1000 introduces a new, classically inspired two-tone color scheme – a sophisticated classic silver and smoke grey livery.

| Just in time for the summer riding season, Ducati North America and GE Money are launching a special financing program for some of Ducatis best selling motorcycles.
For those who are dreaming of a new Ducati, this program offers low interest rates and extended terms to make some of the most desirable Ducatis more accessible. This promotion will run from May 1 through July 31, 2008 at participating Ducati dealers.
The three models eligible for the program are:
2008 Hypermotard 1100
2008 Hypermotard 1100 S
2008 1098 Superbike
Ducati customers can take advantage of rates as low as 1.99% for 36 months or low payments. Some payment examples include:
The Hypermotard for as low as $199 a month for 72 months
The 1098 Superbike for as low as $269 a month for 72 months
Customers can also take advantage of this offer by rolling Accessories, Apparel and the Ducati Everred Protection Program into the special financing. This allows customers to ride their new bikes with personalized style from the Ducati Performance range.
Rather than limiting the program only to those with flawless credit, Ducati is offering the financing to those in several tiers of eligibility. This opens up the program to Ducatisti who in the past could not easily finance a Ducati.
